Brilliant sounding speakers in a compact package featuring the proprietary AST Yamaha technology which delivers realistic tight bass and accurate highs. Can be used as main bookshelf speakers or as surrounds. Was originally supplied with the legendary Yamaha GX-5 Compact system.

The theory behind YAMAHA Active Servo Technology is based on two factors: the Helmholtz resonator and negative-impedance drive. Active Servo Processing speakers reproduce the bass frequencies through an "air woofer," which is a port or opening in the speaker's cabinet.
